Central Swimmers make a splash at FSHAA States Championships; branch sends 18 ![]() TBAY Central Swimmers made a big splash this past week at the 2011 FSHAA Swimming and Diving Finals held at the Orlando YMCA. We had a total of 20 swimmers qualify for this year's 1A-2A-3A State Championship meets. We had many outstanding performances on the weekend. Sophomore Rasmus Skjaerpe (Tampa Prep) was able to reach the podium coming 2nd in the 200IM with a time of 1:50.93. Rasmus also came 6th in the 100 Fly with a time of :49.99. Also getting on the podium was Senior Chris Swanson (Jesuit) in the 500 Fr finishing 3rd with a time of 5:30.79. Chris also came 7th in the 200 IM with a time of 1:55.39. Chris also reached the podium in the 400 Fr relays with fellow Central Swimmer Thompson Marston. Clare Fleming (Academy of Holy Names) won a state tittle in the 200 Fr Relay. Clare split a :24.47 to bring her team the title! We also had 2 bronze medals in the 200 Fr Relay and 400 Fr Relays from Savannah Savitt (Tampa Prep), Emma Siewert (Tampa Prep), Carylyn Waite (Tampa Prep), Emily Carideo (Tampa Prep). We also had many final swims over the 3 days of State meet in Orlando. Swimmers making it back at night also include Gregory Campo (Tampa Prep), Krysten Dawson (Academy of Holy Names), John Nolte (Robinson), Alexander Sparks (Robinson), Alexander Blustein (Tampa Prep), Caroline Alexander (Tampa Prep), Steven House (Tampa Prep), Elle Munns (Plant), Hannah Fredlake (Tampa Prep), Jordan Wheeler (Land O Lakes), Rosalie Spada (Tampa Prep), Emily Clifford (Plant).
