Welcome to TBAY-Westchase
TBAY-Westchase
is designed to need the individual needs of the area's competitive
age-group swimmers. In addition to individualized and group training,
the Westchase branch offers challenges, competitive opportunities,
healthy lifestyle and encouragement for every swimmer in the program
from novice to age group competitor. The experience of Coach Kelley
Allen provides a strong base for each athlete to develop strength,
character and the necessary skills to perform to their maximum
potential, while still maintaining a positive, fun and challenging
atmosphere. The Westchase branch is a fully sanctioned
US
Swimming program.
The program offers a year-round commitment which includes advanced skill
development and participation in PCL and
Florida Swimming certified
meets. The success of the this program is a direct result of a
philosophy which provides for the careful development of the novice and
age group swimmer. The branch maintains a small ratio of swimmers to
coach to ensure the highest quality training and development of each
individual swimmer. Those
swimmers who compete at more advance levels of training and competition
will be in an atmosphere that will allow them to reach their maximum
potential. The Westchase program is designed to provide a challenging
and fun environment in a quality competitive setting.

Swim Team Holds First Spring Picnic
By Rachel Sellers, Resident of Keswick Forest
The Westchase Swim Team Parent Booster Club held its first annual spring picnic on Monday, April 21. The highlight of the afternoon was a series of relays during which the swimmers teamed up and competed against each other. The teams raced in a beach ball relay and noodle buggy relay. The funniest game was the spring chicken relay, in which the swimmers retrieved items from the other side of the pool and the final swimmer had to dress like a spring chicken and race to the finish!
Siblings joined the competition during the fill-the-bottle relay. All of the kids had an exciting time participating in the games. We offer our special thanks to parents Shalimar Allen and Pat Gross, who grilled hamburgers and hot dogs for dinner. To top off the evening, several parents toiled over a cotton candy machine to make dessert for the kids. The event was terrific and the booster club expects to make this an annual social event.
